This 4 to 6 hour course is appropriate for anyone who may be required to restrain loads on vehicles.

This unit provides participant’s with the skills and knowledge required to secure cargo including preparing to secure cargo/containers, lashing and unlashing cargo, protecting cargo from weather, and packing and unpacking cargo. It may apply in cargo securing contexts in the stevedoring, transport, distribution and allied industries.

Also, how to interpret and follow manufacturers’ instructions on various load restraint equipment in operational situations.

Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and Industry sectors.

The course comprises a written theory assessment, followed by a practical assessment. Participants need to have a strong command of the English language in order to complete the written assessment for these courses.

A completed booking form must be submitted to the RTO Administrator, along with payment in order to secure a seat at the nominated training course.
