The 2 Day Undertake Confined Space Rescue (UCSR) course is to provide personnel with the skills and knowledge to work as a member of an Emergency Response Team and who are required to conduct a rescue from a confined space. The workplaces of these trainees could include onshore and offshore locations (potentially isolated from external emergency services such as remote mine sites and/or oil rigs), and where work is undertaken that requires entry to confined spaces.
The individuals attending the course could be both new and experienced workers and hold varying levels of responsibility from team member to team leader.
Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and Industry sectors.
The course comprises multiple written theory assessments, followed by practical assessments. Participants need to have a strong command of the English language in order to complete the written assessment for these courses.
