Duration: 8am - 12pm
This 3 to 4 hour course is appropriate for anyone who may be required to use portable fire extinguishers, fire hose reels and fire blankets.
This unit provides participant’s with the skills and knowledge required to identify fire types and select the most appropriate method of extinguishment.
Also, how to interpret and follow manufacturers’ instructions on various first attack firefighting equipment in emergency situations.
Demonstrate First Attack Fire Fighting Equipment Learning Outcomes:
Demonstrate correct usage of a fire hose reel
Demonstrate correct usage of a fire blanket
Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and Industry sectors.
The course comprises a written theory assessment, followed by a practical assessment. Participants need to have a strong command of the English language in order to complete the written assessment for these courses.

Enrolling for a course is made easy by our online enrolment system. Simply click on the Enrol Myself or Enrol Employees buttons to enrol in a course.
A completed booking form must be submitted to the RTO Administrator, along with payment in order to secure a seat at the nominated training course.
Daysafe staff will email you confirmation upon receipt of your enrolment and payment. This will identify what you need to bring to the course. We will also send you an SMS message the day before to remind you.
Daysafe can deliver this course on your site (by appointment if pre-arranged) or at our fully equipped training facility in Karratha.
