The theory part of this course is completed online, using any device with an internet connection, including a smart phone or tablet.
The online learning MUST be completed prior to attending the practical session.

Practical & Final Theory Assessment
After completing the online learning modules, students will attend the practical session on the date and time as selected during booking.

The Short Course (For experienced operators)
Price: $350 per person
Face to Face duration: 3 to 4 hrs (approx.)
This short course is designed for any person wishing to obtain a nationally recognised certificate, who has previous experience in operating the small plant and equipment being used.
Limited training is provided as part of this course. It is mainly "assessment only". Participants attending this course need to have current operating experience.
The 1 Day Course (For beginners)
Price: $425 per person
Face to Face duration: 8 hrs (approx.)
This 1 day course is designed for any person wishing to obtain the nationally recognised certificate, and is suitable for participants with little or no previous operating experience.
Students will gain the ability to complete the tasks outlined in the elements, performance criteria and foundation skills of this unit, including evidence of the ability to:
- operate small plant and equipment on at least two different occasions, including:
- conducting pre-operational checks
- identifying and managing site hazards
- identifying and using correct operating techniques to achieve optimum output while maintaining specified tolerances
- correctly storing equipment
- completing operator maintenance
- clearing the work area.

The course comprises a written theory assessment, followed by a practical assessment. Participants need to have a strong command of the English language in order to complete the written assessment for these courses.
