This 1 day course (8 Hours) is appropriate for those working in operational roles where they are required to identify, locate and protect underground services.

This unit provides participant’s with the skills and knowledge required to identify, locate and protect underground services in the Civil Construction and Utilities Industries.

Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and Industry sectors.  

The course comprises a written theory assessment, followed by a practical assessment. Participants need to have a strong command of the English language in order to complete the written assessment for these courses.

Language, literacy and numeracy requirements

• This unit requires the ability to interpret any permits or other documentation associated with work at heights. 
• Writing is required to the level of completing required workplace reports. 
• Numeracy is required to enable the determination of weights, loads and similar activities.

It is strongly recommended that prior to enrolling in this course, you take this Online Language, Literacy and Numeracy Indicator Test to evaluate your skills in:

• Reading,
• Writing,
• Learning,
• Oral Communication, and
• Numeracy.

These are the 5 core skills that make up the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF). These skills have been identified as the basic skills that a person needs in the community, classroom and workplace.

Enrolling for a course is made easy by our online enrolment system. Simply click on the Enrol Myself or Enrol Employees buttons to enrol in a course.

A completed booking form must be submitted to the RTO Administrator, along with payment in order to secure a seat at the nominated training course.

Daysafe staff will email you confirmation upon receipt of your enrolment and payment. This will identify what you need to bring to the course. We will also send you an SMS message the day before to remind you.
