This 1 day course (8 Hours) is appropriate for those working in operational roles where they are required to operate light vehicles.

This unit provides participant’s with the skills and knowledge required to drive light vehicles safely around sites in the Resources and Infrastructure and Transport and Logistics Industries.

Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and Industry sectors.  

The course comprises a written theory assessment, followed by a practical assessment. Participants need to have a strong command of the English language in order to complete the written assessment for these courses.

Language, literacy and numeracy requirements

• This unit requires the ability to interpret any permits, signs or other documentation associated with the operation of light / commercial vehicles. 
• Writing is required to the level of completing required workplace reports. 
• Numeracy is required to enable the determination of weight limits, loads, angles and similar activities.

It is strongly recommended that prior to enrolling in this course, you take this Online Language, Literacy and Numeracy Indicator Test to evaluate your skills in:

• Reading,
• Writing,
• Learning,
• Oral Communication, and
• Numeracy.

These are the 5 core skills that make up the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF). These skills have been identified as the basic skills that a person needs in the community, classroom and workplace.

By taking this test, we will be better prepared to help you should the test determine any LLN issues.

A completed booking form must be submitted to the RTO Administrator, along with payment in order to secure a seat at the nominated training course.
