This 1 Day course (8 hours) is appropriate for anyone who may be required to use fire fighting equipment and participate in, or lead an emergency control organisation in an emergency situation. 

This course gives participants the skills and knowledge to participate in and/or lead an emergency control organisation in the preparation of workplace emergency procedures; including fighting fires, participation and command, control and coordination of workplace emergency procedures and response; and concluding the incident.

People who undertake this work may act as the primary liaison with emergency services after their arrival.

The course comprises a written theory assessment, followed by a practical assessment. Participants need to have a strong command of the English language in order to complete the written assessment for these courses.

It is strongly recommended that prior to enrolling in this course, you take this Online Language, Literacy and Numeracy Indicator Test to evaluate your skills in:

• Numeracy.

These are the 5 core skills that make up the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF). These skills have been identified as the basic skills that a person needs in the community, classroom and workplace.

A completed booking form must be submitted to the RTO Administrator, along with payment in order to secure a seat at the nominated training course.
